Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that the education system needs to be changed to keep pace with the changing world. We have tried to make the test stressful and enjoyable. You always have to bring skills that can be learned.  

The education minister made the remarks while virtually joining the 20th convocation of East West University as the President’s representative on Monday (July 12).

At the convocation, certificates were given to 1,551 students of undergraduate and graduate programs of the university. Besides, two uniquely meritorious students were awarded gold medals. 

Secretary of the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education was the special guest. Mahbub Hossain. The convocation speaker was a member of the University Grants Commission, Professor. Biswajit Chand. Chairperson of the East West Board of Trustees, Syed Manzoor Elahi, Chief Adviser of the University, Professor. Mohammad Farasuddin and the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor. MM Shahidul Hasan. 

 The speakers told the certified students that the corona virus has stopped the whole world. The lives and livelihoods of millions of people are under threat. But education activities are moving forward through the use of technology. Today’s convocation is a great example of this. They urged the students to continue their efforts to adapt to such adverse conditions in the future as well. 

The convocation was attended by members of the Board of Trustees of East West University, Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, Deans of various faculties, Chairpersons of various departments, teachers, officers-staff and certified graduates. The students were overjoyed to get the certificate in time even in the midst of this Covid 19 Atimari.
